Ah the monthly "recommend me X and I'll consider it but in reality ignores it" thread
It's more about insight into the early development of esports--Starcraft, the formation of Evil Geniuses. Some interesting insights, but certainly not as in-depth as an expert might like.
dont listen to these degenerates telling you to watch anime instead of reading
what do you prefer, historical fiction, sf, fantasy, nonfiction?

Look up conn igulden. He writes historical fiction for adults. He has a series on Julias Caesar and Rome, one on Ghengis Khan, one on what happens after Ghengis leading up to Kublai Khan, and his newest one is about England and the war of the roses. All extremely well written, easy to read, lots of battles and stuff.
Red Rising (3 book dystopian series for adults).
I have been a total book nerd my entire life, reading everything from the classics to today's trashier literature. The Red Rising series is by far the best I've read.

Metro 2033 you stupid cuck,
its a great book , sci-fi and wicked fun.
Afeect said it , I said it at the top. GO BUY THAT BOOK!
Metro 2033 has some incredible books, best I have ever read probably.
There is also an offspin book which focuses on religion after the apocalypse.
Includes a dude in crusader armour travelling in a wooden boat with wheels driven by wind.
He just travels Europe and purges mutants. If that doesnt sound epic.
Main protagonist is a chaplain of the remnants if the catholic church that is tasked to get some relic from the vaticans. If that doesnt sound epic to you.
Very deep story and well written
