I mean I got 2 medal promotions outta nowhere this week playing nothing but solos so I have no clue but they may have changed something.
Their solo mmr is displayed in grey colour and there's an exclamation mark next to it. If you use your cursor and hover over that mmr a small text box will pop up on your screen. It says "Last Updated 6/7 months ago. During that time period their mmr obviously changed and that is why their rank is different. On my profile it says that my solo mmr is 5008, but that value is incorrect because it was last updated 6 months ago.
