Same, relevant option enabled. Cant see rank and says last match was 2 weeks ago...played about 30 games since then.
most of the ppl got the option as private, if one of them is private, dotabuff.com cant track their progress and cant get their DBR, so the DBR of the players who play with u and against u is unknown, so false information would be the result if the system continues changing the DBR, also many abuses can be there, just before losing a game, just turn off the option, and it wont count as a loss in ur profile, so ur DBR will keep on increasing..
only tryhards rly do this
^Or, they just caved in for Valve, they can't risk their plus subscriptions, even if they only make 20 or less percent of what they would actually get if they put some features for the new DBR system.
Can't blame them for doing so, valve was firing incendiaries on them, maybe they just took the deal..
(not buying the can't update it story)
@Maps0r, that does not work, when you turn it on all your matches show up, hence why matches from dotabuffs down time show.
The recent privacy changes made it impossible to calculate DBR for new matches. We removed it from profiles because it was becoming more and more out of date and leaving people confused as to why it wasnt updating.
TL;DR: Can't update it
Good usage of TL;DR
Is there any way to see who the best players are among dotabuff users? I know there probably isn't but is not hard just to ask. By best I mean like gobal records, best winrates.
Sorry if this question seems stupid.
Thanks in advance incase you answer it. :)
Win rate means nothing. With Valve hiding the MMR, DBR was a really good method to get a somewhat accurate measure of skill. With privacy changes and no access to replays, DBR is dead. When replays return, I bet they will be privacy protected too, as it's quite obvious Valve doesn't want to allow anyone to calculate rating.
Our only hope is that Valve actually does release the rating thru webapi and now is the perfect opportunity to do it as they already have the privacy option in place (anonymous players would still be protected, though with open access to all player info ingame, there would be a manual loophole). But as Gabe himself said it, their matchmaking is bad at this moment and there is absolutely no chance they will release anything until they sort it out.
You can only see your archived DBR prior to VALVe privacy patch if you have DB+
would be easily if they just put on main page that the dbr is disabled for while
I just don't understand why these fucktards are pandering to casuals this much. Fuck valve, honestly, competition is what makes multiplayer games interesting even though you grow bored with the game itself.
And who the fuck cares if some baddies are afraid that people might be able to actually see how fucking bad they are. It can only force them to get better.
Hating on russians, aimlessly swearing, selfish and not caring about other players, "forcing" noobs to get better by telling them how bad they are as opposed to helping and teaching them.
You're the epitome of what is wrong with the Dota Community and the entire reason why Valve are doing what they do.
