there is no such thing as "best" dota, anything can countered. but if you are looking for a hero to start with after lol, play drow ranger, lion, and pl.

ps imho meepo is hardest carry, he gets 6 slots of items faster than any other hero.

I honestly think PL is the best non-OP hero in dota 2, the best scaling, good , but counterable abilities, excellent voice and looks. Everything you need is in PL, and I welcomed the 4,2 agi buff, he needed it.

Carry : Definitely Wisp. Wisp is extremely powerful, with the most power in the game. It has the ultimate control over spirits, which can do some serious damage when coupled with a Divine Rapier. Take the mid lane and be sure to use your ultimate to teleport your teammates to the other base at level 6 so they can kill the fountain.
Support : No doubt it is Meepo. Meepo can use his poof to fart at the enemy and confuse them. Be sure to keep one Meepo at the enemy fountain so you can check for any reviving heroes.
Initiator : Obviously it is Skeleton King. He just has to use his ultimate to lure all the enemy heroes to swarm around him. Then the rest of his team jump in and beat the crap out of the enemy.
OP hero : I TOTALLY HATE THIS PEEZ OF SHEET HE IS DOOM. HE CAN EAT ENEMY HEROES WITH DEVOUR AND HE ATE ME ONCE AND KEPT DIGESTING ME FOR 20 MINUTES SO I WAS UNABLE TO REVIVE FOR 20 MINUTES. WHEN I REVIVED, I SPAWNED NEXT TO HIM AND HE ATE ME AGAIN. AFTER THAT, HE GOT AN AGHANIUMS SCEPTER AND USED DOOM ON ME WHEN HE HAD A SHADOW BLADE. THE DOOM JUST WOULD NOT GO AWAY. I THINK THIS HERO IS HACKED SOMEONE PLS REPORT THIS GUY HIS NAME IS GodHackerInsaneSkills
