after a certain period of time (i'm not certain how long), the dotabuff stats program will check for matches at much shorter intervals
example: if u play a game, lose, and "hide" the loss, it won't show up right away
but after a week or so, if you try to turn on "share matchmaking" stats, even for 10 seconds, it will check and update right away your "missing" games
so yea it's difficult if not impossible to hide the losses. you can inflate it in the short run, though the only reason i could think of that being useful is if ur trying to get vouched into a league with win % requirements
