Experienced the same, but there's already a lot of threads on this topic here on Dotabuff. Seems that the general idea between people is that some is convinced that this doesn't happen, and other say it's Valve's fault. Either way, it would be nice if Dotabuff could take this into account.

Same thing happened to me, no stats recorded but the others played on and I got a 0-7, an abandon and low priority 3-in-1 package.
Safe to leave does not mean no stats recorded. No stats recorded occurs when the game is safe to leave before 5 minutes into the game. The game is safe to leave upon abandonment, which if it occurs after 5 minutes into the game, still counts the entire game.
Are you sure about that 5 minutes? If there is firstblood after like 2 minutes and the guy who died ragequit - I am pretty sure stats will still count. If no firstblood 5 minutes can be the rule.
Either ways it will be stated that no stats will be recorded. Also, a common mistake people make is mixing up the no stats recorded message with the ranked match abandon message, which reads NOTE: Stats will be counted, as well as any changes to MM rating. Some people see a longer message and just take it as it's No-stats recorded.

I rarely play this game but it is extremely annoying that I lost two games that should theoretically be safe to leave. I realize it is not a big deal, but maybe someone from the technical staff of this board can check the game (419250846) and improve the detection algorithm of the safe to leave matches.
