in order to achieve a high level of respect you have to build 2 vanguards.

I have seen 2x vanguards on Axe... which I "kind of" get for the extra block % but much better items to build into besides... another vanguard

So does anyone still not believe that MM tries to set your win percentage to roughly .500?

It doesn't try to set your win percentage to .500. It tries to match you with other players of even skill level. Having a .500 win rate is a product of matches being even where both teams have an equal chance of winning. It means MM works!

Having greater than .500 win rate could mean 2 things:
1. You've improved since you started
2. You're one of the very best dota players and there aren't enough players that are as good as you so MM has to match you with worse players.

This is a vanguard lol thread, not an "im average lets bitch about valve and cry about 50% w/l all day" Jeez its a game no one is going to be a millionaire from winning the international here. Get over it sheesh.
