when u play solo q. u shouldnt care about your teammates. for examplen when u play chen.
-bought chick/upped in time
-we had vision on the map, bought sentry/dust/gem against invis heroes
- i didnt afk farming jungle. helped to lanes get some kills or saved my teammates
- we pushed tower with dogs
-had some good micro momentum on the match with 3 centaoár
-etc.
result of the game. my team lost. but u did the maximum and trained your chen.
what i wanted to say with this? if u do your maximum as a support or with any other hero in any role. u did what is your job. u concentrated and tried your best but your team still lost. dat doesnt mean u lost too. cus you practiced a hero what u like to play, u know what did u do well and where did u fail so next games u can improve.

Chen is a super high impact hero, ive seen 2 chens in my games, sadly my mmr isnt enough high for chen players :D But they single handedly won the game. Still, there are those games when you just cant win, not couse of your teams mmr, but couse you are already in a disadventage and your team picks bad and/or got outplayed, if you happened to pick chen, nothing to do. Practice at least, thats true. :) It worth it, next time when you will have a close game, you WILL win couse of you did a combo/move perfectly that you practiced in one of the lost-anyways games. Gl

It's not that i don't know how to play chen, and its not like i don't have a really high impact in the game.
its more the fact that he tapers off and doesn't do much in the later portion of the game, other then an average heal + mek and a sendback
Venomancer is worse!
The idea of picking chen is to take towers early. If they have strong counter-pushers, maybe it's better to pick something else.

Yeah so i really like this hero and well.
i find so often, that i just don't win with him because i'm not playing one of the "super high impact heros".
most games end up with everyone commenting and saying "well played chen" "sick plays".. clutch heals and sendbacks
yet
i still lose.
Like last game for instance, i ganked mid lvl 1, bought every support item in the shop from the get go, like
Wards, Sentries, courier, smoke.. and wards weren't ever off cd the entire game. Had some sick early game plays dodging a 2 man gank and getting 2 return kills :) dem meecro skillz
yet we still lose, every time....
Like, correct me if im wrong, but im starting to think if you solo queue ranked. you may aswell not pick this hero, or atleast not play him the way that i have. Generally i go ganking early, get a 6ish min lvl 6-7 and go push etc. aim for a 12-14min mek manaboots.
but well, i really think you shouldn't bother getting the mek, and just getting a necro book, and go farm.
or else you have to rely on pub carries.
So yeah.
Amazingly fun hero, getting like 15k hero damage with a chen is greatfun, forcestaffing centaurs, mauling people with centaurs etc.
but in a pub setting. shits hard man.
Hats off to anyone who still consitantly plays him, Cause it gets depressing dying for a hero, only for him to get caught 1min later.
