General Discussionur longest period of time without playing dota?

1 or 2 month

16 years and then i started playing ;D

One week when I didn't have internet available.

3 weeks. I got into "The Last of us" on PS3 for a bit and got tired of the multi player, then went back to Starcraft 2 for a bit, got tired of that then came back to this.

5 months. Started playing in the summer and stopped when the school started. Started playing again in the spring semester :D

playing dota for ~1 year in meantime longest perioed with no doto was 2 weeks

ive played a couple games of dota many many yrs ago @ battle net, didnt understood a single thing, got flamed and never played again til 2013, so prolly bout 8 years if u count that experience

I started playing dota a year ago. Around 1 week when i had a crush on some bitch and i worked out during that time instead of playing dota to look good again then i said to myself "wtf bro this isn't you. You dont give a shit about girls"
And started playing dota again.

I often go a day or two without playing, but I took a whole month off at christmas, too much family stuff going on and travelling. Have taken random weeks of for vacations/work trips. A weekend here and there for work. Taking a month off was actually really refreshing. Losing a bunch of games in a row is extremely frustrating and wears on you but even winning you don't realize how stressful it is. Dota makes me amp'd up, not relaxed. It's nice to step back and relax sometimes with other hobbies.

I've had 2 different 4 to 5 months periods without playing dota, when I got hooked with some other game in high school and the other was when I got fed up with dota1 and just waited until dota2 was decent enough.

When I played wc3 dota I made like maybe 2-3 year pause without playin. Now when I have dota 2 already 2 years I don`t know I don`t thing so is more than 10-15 days :D

i had a blackout for 3 days... played bots on my brothers laptop which i charged in my moms car

so longest time without dota? not long

the reason its stressful is because not always is winning\losing in your control and it can be really hard to lose due to poor play from teammates. anyway used to play a ton of dota 1 for about 5 years dota 2 came out cpu died got new laptop year later and yeah here i am

About 6 weeks before the International started of last year, I'm not really sure. I don't know why I just didn't feel like playing... LOL I just felt like watching tournament games etc

Whats the big deal here? I take breaks for 3-5 days every few days or so. >_> There are times where I would rather play other games as well. That's... not normal??

2 months… Summer breaks in England without any internet. Very beautiful country, so much to do. You don't need internet there to enjoy yourself

2 months, separately 2 times, so approx 4 months no playing... but i'm gonna play now very soon.
