Linkens maybe? But bloodstone still gives a ton of mana regen (200%) even if the charges are low. I think going bloodstone then rushing another int item to amplify that 200% regen is the way to go, like bloodstone then the int portion of shivas.

Blood stone can give lots of heal, and scales better with late game.
And in my opinion, Timber needs the mana points more than it's regeneration.
And mek is a support item, Timber isn't afaik.

^ Mek is a team item. Lots of supports get them, but it's not mandatory.

Viper, Od, Razor and some others going for a mek is not that uncommon.

Edit: But yeah, I'm not sure if a Mek would be ideal on a Timber, considering he's going to spam his spells constantly and he's behind, better not give him another mana consuming item.

I've made first item atos, blademail, and euls before on timbersaw when I had a bad lane. Of the three, atos worked the best. It doesn't have the regeneration, but gives 25 int=325mana and 350 hp, which is almost equal to the 500hp and 400 mana of bloodstone for 2000 less gold.

So then you'd just go back to base more often I assume without any % mana regen. Atos seems alright from a theoretical view but I just think it's active sucks. I'll try it out if I end up doing badly on Timber, plus maybe a Soul Ring or something for mana regen that scales.

Mek isn't always bought on supports. A fast Mek on your offlane or mid if suitable can let you push early and give you a huge advantage in those early fights.

BS is actually good if you are dying alot

I think only good thing on atos is that active. Range is insane, slow is kinda awesome, cd is short, but hell yea, you don't get mana reg, which he badly needs

schyte of vyse/shivas/linken is opt out because it's almost has the same price with bloodstone
These item are harder to build since it has a big chunk of an item (mystic staff, ultimate orb)

I don't hate the Soul Ring idea, or maybe even a casual Urn (Super situational, urn is a better dual lane item). I just think saving up for Mana Boots is going to be more prudent for any timbersaw game, even one that is going to shit. I wouldn't prioritize any item before that bare minimum, he really needs the mana pool. Is a timber with Soul Ring and Brown Boots more dangerous or survivable than one with just Arcanes? I'm not sure.
Are we talking just about solo offlane timber here? Mid timbersaw can pick up a bottle with no question.

@Vasile, even though its not related to the discussion, I don't find Blink Dagger very useful on him. He's already mobile enough with Timber Chain, Force Staff gives intelligence, is more reliable, and I can't really think of why you would need instant mobility.

@Krypt I've sometimes gotten Urn on Timber before Bloodstone, rather than one of the other 875 components. I've played offlane every time, mid just seems meh, you just farm like a DK and the enemy has a hard time zoning you out due to your armour + HP regen. Plus what's left of my mid skills (if there was any to begin with) have faltered since I've mainly played offlane recently.

I should've added that in all these builds I still have Arcanes since I'm not dissassembling them for Bloodstone. I always get Arcanes on Timbersaw. I don't think there's any other item that cheap that offers mana regen + mana pool increase at the same time. If you're getting boots anyways and you're not a support you may as well upgrade them unless you intend to go Travels.
