A 3k mmr guy can win vs a 4k mmr guy in 1v1 mid, doens't mean the 3k mmr guy is better. A 4,8k mmr guy might not be better skilled than a 4,5k guy.
1v1 mid doesn't say much. Both might not be mid players, and mid isnt 1v1 in real games.¨

It's true. A 4k guy might no be superstrong midplayer, aka a 3k guy can be a stronger mid player. E.g. Havoc Badger who's a 4k boy lost to a 3k guy in 1v1, however he won to a 4,8k or something.
Playing 1v1 is kinda stupid in the way one of the players might not have mid as one of their roles. Sure, go 1v1 me playing carry. Who gets the most lasthits in 10min.

Not in very high skilled games. In those you might end up having freefarm with their offlaner getting zoned out. Aka, their offlaner won't be a threat for you. Obviously this does not apply to any case. Mid is all about as you said, blocks, lane controll, mind games and outplaying the opponent by playing by skill. Very likely a mid player has higher individual skills than a carry player.
