It's good information. Just anything that helps me see something from a different perspective I like.
i guess that's what happens when you try to talk about something for the same duration as a single university lesson for me
Ah yes, spirit form for kotl :D My bad! There used to be a hero in dota that had spiritform , where spiritform = ghost form (dota1 term) ....
Maybe not the best idea to talk about this in the morning! ROFL
Haha, I actually didn't drink any soda, coffee or energydrinks during my 40h or my 43h marathons! I just zombiemode in the morning..
btw thanks for posting it melody!
It came up on my G+ feed. Sorry I threw it here before you did. =/
thats because dotacimena is always horseplaying and its probably and hour of Sunsfan going off on a segue.
I am sorry but what? Fountain hooks was the most entertaining part about TI3, its a high risk high reward tactic which requires tremendous skill and ability to use your hero to the maximum of his potential. It showed truly how good NaVi really is. And I dont even like Navi but you are making it sound as though they exploited a bug.
Fountain hooking doesnt take skill. It takes one hour in lobby with the chen player, against Hard + AI bots. (That movement is SO FUCKING RANDOM). You think that was intended by valve? Hence why they removed it, because it was "Not a bug, and totally intentional."
Also I wanted to ask these things.
So if brewmaster wasn't attacked for 10 second he will evade vendetta if getting ganked by nyx?
And Since repel doesnt remove positive buffs? Will it still remove positive buffs from enemies? Sometimes I would use it on an enemy that activated a haste rune.
I would still say its not exactly easy to pull off. And even if you pracised for hours you will miss a lot of those hooks wasting loads of time for your entire team (as they very well did which almost cost them the game) and you cannot say that the Gyro's trip to the well was not one of the most memorable expiriences of TI. There is a reason only one team dared to do it
it clearly says:
"Repel no longer removes positive buffs from allies"
and about the pudge fountain hook thing, afaik you can just look at the test of faith buff duration and throw the hook
@ In moms basement player,
Can someone ban Smurfs/Stat abusers?
@Deadshot,
I wouldn't really say dared to do it, more or less only one guy that has nuts to take pudge to a competitive level. It's not that no one could, it's that some teams wanted to win TI, instead of impress the crowd.
melody it doesn't take just an hour to be really good at fountain hooking. Also bots got wallhack so it's even harder against them. (At least if all-vision is on.)
"It came up on my G+ feed. Sorry I threw it here before you did. =/"
Wait wait wait.
When did you start working for Google?
The thing that got fixed was fountain pulls using Magnus's skewer which is way easier to pull off then fountain hooks. no way you could get reliable fountain hooks down in an hour of bot play, you have a window of less then half a second where you need to land the hook. its hard enough to land a hook with out a timer ticking down saying "you must land a hook at exactly this second"
with skewer you can just blink in right where you need to be and press a button, no skill shot required.
i find hooking and guessing where they're going to move in the fountain miles easier in comparison to skewer :/
maybe legacy makes it harder idk
Fountain hooking sucked big time! You only enjoyed it because Navi did it.
Watch this game and say the same thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAwD9nAo8iM
Happened before TI3 btw.
