Tidehunter mid? in General Discussion

Any tips? Is he any good?

He seems pretty decent as a mid because hes tanky and can harass easly melee heroes.

Wins his lane against any melee hero. Can't think of a hero than can beat tidehunter 1v1 (melee)

Maybe TA, counting her as a melee because of her range and not getting more than 1 level in psi blades usually.

          now that's just pedantic

          i'd say timbersaw beats tide

          Zahard

i'd say he also loses vs bs

How the fck does Tide lose vs BS?

He just anchor smash him and bang BS has 0 damage thus cant lasthit

The only way BS wud have a chance wud be if he was maxing his silence (I guess?) To compensate for the damage reduction, which also makes u kinda harass yourself while tide still can trade efficiently cause of his tankiness along with anchor smash.

please enlighten me of your mind by BS>Tide just because you're some big BS fan.

Tide should be able to out cs for the most part. Anchor smash will push the wave and bs might be able to get some cs under the tower when that happens, unlike a bane enfeeble that ruins you no matter what. Then you can argue which hero does more mid game and if it's worth the tide getting a bit of cs vs a bs

slark would rape tide mid if the slark went the correct skill build for that situation and leveled essence shift multiple times

Meepo can do well as well.

If tied is on radiant and he was losing the lane he could just stack the ancients every min and stay in XP range the rest of the time, once he ate the stacks he would likely have as much/more farm then the person who he was "losing" the lane to.

                        himself

Worked. Magnus was really bad though. (had 90+ cs at 15 minutes, then just roamed).

Since he crushes almost all other melee mids, it helps him help his team faster (get Arcane's and Blink up fast).

Slark dominates Tide in a 1v1.

Tidehunter solo offlane is even easier, you can beat two heroes at the same time.
