they appear if dotabuff is 100% sure that the bracket is correct. if it doesn't show, then it's probably because 1 low mmr player is playing with higher mmrs, or 1 high mmr player is playing with low mmr players.
I think the people here say it depends on the stats and what happened at the end of the game to determine what "bracket" that match happened in.
