I have noticed this alot in this community where people try and manipulate their stats to make their profile seem better than it actually is
examples of this are
-swapping onto different accounts to play your weaker heroes to avoid putting losses on your account
-smurfing to obtain a boosted MM then avoiding ranked completely to maintain higher MM
etc.
