It pulls the bracket from the DotA2 API which is iffy at best.

Because some games are so bad that there's no skill to measure in the first place.

since dota 2 api doesnt provide the bracket any more, dotabuff has to guess and it only states which bracket if the certainty level on the bracket is super high

A better question is why does everybody seem to care ;D

Because higher skill = higher mmr = dotabuff pro = better life <

yea i've always wondered the same thing actually. I thought it was dotabuff tryna make us buy PLUS feature but i guess that's not it

We don't guess the skill level. Valve just doesn't provide it for every match played. We only display the skill if it was provided by Valve

can you guys not include them? It looks really awkward when some games dont have any info and some games have. Maybe only put it on the actual match itself, like not on the player's profile if u know what i mean.

There are sites that guess the skill bracket for most matches. We don't do that because we've found it to be inaccurate.
