Carry Abbadon is a old thing that still works to some extent, in the same way you can carry with Alch or support or utility the same applies to Abbadon. He is a durable fucker so actually killing him (if he's a carry) requires a decent amount of team coordination and picks so it does work in some instances.
It's very meh compared to other carries, but he can carry to some extent effectively. Aghs is really meh on him for carrying though.
He can be a great snowballer, a good start and you can win easily but im not sure that he should be played as the main carry.
Well I was kind of pushed into it. First match we had jug, tinker, pugna, veno, which leaves plenty of room for a carry aba. Last game literally no hard carries, we had skywrath, bristle, tide, witch dr. So me and bristle both built carry stuff. Both games had at least two support types behind me.
I guess the real question is whether going radiance is worth it. I think if going normal supporty type I'd still do phase, vlads, mek and then a pipe, maybe a halberd, something like that.

It's only been two games but carry abaddon seems legit. One I was going support route but we had a huge lead so I built phase, vlads, mek, radiance, pipe, abyssal. Next game I skipped mek, went phase, vlads, radiance, ac, aghs. Second game we didn't have a hard carry so I tried to be it.
I've been maxing shield and curse over mist coil. The mist coil is good, low cd nuke, sync's well with shield so you can pop it yourself for major burst, but curse is pretty crucial for farming. Aba actually clears waves somewhat quickly with curse since all the creeps attack your target super fast. He's kinda slow clearing jungle before radiance but with curse and vlads you take zero damage.
Idk just wondering what you guys think and if radiance is worth it or a big waste of gold. I think if you get it online by 25 mins it's a pretty big item since aba is so hard to down in team fights.
Another item I haven't used but might be amazing is blink. Blink onto someone, apply curse and they can't escape unless they have major escape skills.
