If your teammates are bad, the enemy team is too so you should wreck them hard if you are actually good. If you cant do that, you are where you belong. 5k players have had like 80% WR on their way from 3k to 5.5k so there is that...
Valve is doin a good job with the system - the only thing wrong is the fact that you can see the enemies name in the loading screen.

The thing is the gap between 4200 and 5000 is huge in skill-level. (Obviously talking from experience. I was at ~4200 for a long time until I realized that I sucked, and actually tried to improve.)

Thus, this guy complaining about system when he obviously isn't good enough to play in higher levels makes me vomit.

What ? No, to make a good public matchmaking you need a lot of efforts, how do you measure if its good ? well having at least 50 % of players agreeing that its good its usually a nice step, right now is what ? 30 % or less ?

Counter-Strike, people don't give a shit. I actually loved Source days, definetly the game I've enjoyed the most. The best community in any game I've played aswell.

Yes its true, anyway i think the new queue that they are doing its a good example of what they can do to make the quality of the games better ( they are putting all the dodgers and people like that in the same queue ) they could do the same with idiots that cry or flame a lot in the games, this is a good example of valve improving MM bit by bit

The thing is in those game usually a match is really quick, in dota its usually 40-50 minutes, so spending that time to end up losing its sad and that its what causes frustration on the players.

I did an experiment. Thinking logically at any fucking mmr if matchmaking is balanced and someone goes jungle or offlane the mid lane and easy lane shouldn't be feeding so hard that teamscores in 10-15 minutes would become something like <5 : >20.
To my surprise in 15 games only 1 game was actually won by my team in that period of time and only 2 games were not being lost that hard, other 13 games they were complete stomps against my side and it didn't even matter if enemies had a jungler or not. So no, matchmaking isn't balanced at all just because of how it works and it can't be really saved.

1. Let's notice that the part between 4-5k is the worst due to many smurfs calibrating in that zone and dropping/ruining afterwards and when better players get mixed with them – very unfair matches happen even though system reads their mmr as the same skill equivalent

2. Trying to keep forced 50% system gives 4 players that have shit winrate for a single good player with high winrate and pretty much balances the other team with all being above 50%

3. For example you are in 4-5k range, or let's say 4.9k exactly. If you won a couple of games you are going to get people who won some games too and play against people who lost many games to keep the forced 50% again(people who are higher skilled but at the same mmr should win and come back to their higher mmr while people who came from bottom should still lose and also came back to where they belong). But this is a really double edged sword. Sometimes due to loss streaks some players become completely retarded and drag their team down so hard that even the general higher skilled team can't do shit.

P.S. during the test I've done in 6 games we had a leaver prior to 10 minutes and in 3 games there were guys buying couriers, staying afk in base and sending them to enemies.

Matchmaking is fine, I don't know why you would think it's not. Here are some of the issues in 4k...

1. Everyone thinks they are better than everyone else, even though they all have the same rating?
2. Most people in 4k are fucking children and will throw or "sell items to wait for game to end" because they think they're better than their team and were let down by Valve and the shitty matchamaking who should be pairing them with pros'.
3. 4k's have terrible decision making and make mistakes all the time but instead of admitting mistakes blame team mates because they're so convinced they're good and would never fuck up, so it must have been the teams fault.

Again, how is it Valves fault that the players who play their game are rubbish. If we're talking about policing the game a lot more then you would be one of the first to go as you said yourself that you have "waited in base for lost game to end" and "sold items to wait for game to end".

Your attitude stinks to the high heavens of someone who is upset cause you think you should be winning at least 70% of your games and that anything lower than that is someone elses or Valves fault. You're in the shitter cause you are a shitter and the only way to realize that and rise up out of the hole is to come to terms with where you are and see where you can take it.

Damn, I oscillate between 3.8 and 3.9k MMR and being such a casual player (with the frequent 3-4 days or even longer breaks) I don't see myself improving a lot any time soon...but seeing as if I do, the bracket I'll get into would be the 4k one, which is confirmed as the most fucktastically toxic bracket by this, other posts like this one, Swiftending's experiment and countless other sources...would it be worth it? Or should I just stay blissfully in this probably more retarded, but far less toxic and whiny place?
