same happened to me!
I know there is some other way on youtube you can find it but its to complicated :S
What I found is that you can change the background with images but I don't want that ... I just want the old option to change the fire to the great blue fire.
PD: By the way, I've some chat called We <3 U that I can't close it, the rest of them I can remove it or add it but this one is at the first slot and I can't remove it ..... I see some other people in the chat too and I don't know who they are.

I want to change the main menu background with -dashboard international_2012 for example in the launch options but the only change I can see is the loading screen, the background doesn't change.
Why they remove this? there is another way to change it?
