Co-worker wants to try doto, wants carry manly heroes, tips? in General Discussion
Bad Intentions

Hes mainly a COD, CS:Go player but wants to try doto. He said he likes to "lead" the team and wants manly carry heroes. Any tips or advice that can give to him?

    PROTECTHIMFROMWHATHEWANTS

he maybe good at leading team on FPS games. but first he must realize how each role works

in a few words some people are born to carry
some other people are born to support

      casual gamer

tell him to play spirit breaker, tanky manly hero with decent damage that can own noobs

        Filthy

I wonder what percentage of people prefer to support. I always just support when I have to , not my first choice tho.

give him wraith king, he only has 1 button, can carry, but still contributes with just boots and a blade mail so if he fails at farming you wont be stuck 4 v 5. he also 100% rewards YOLO, which is exactly what you want if you have a new player trying to lead the team and be manly.

the only down side is you need to be able to boot toggle and manage your mana, but again he only has 1 button and he will need to learn to toggle and manage mana eventually anyway regardless of what hero he plays.

He's going to hate the pace of dota, just do him a favor and warn him about it. I had a guy who was really big into wow pvp and quite good at it too and he sucked at dota. Just wasn't patient enough. Too bad cus his wow skills definitely would've translated.

Manly heroes though? Go troll, centaur, sven, axe.

              Village Whore

wraithknight is a no brainer, bristleback could be good too if he wants to be right in it. Just place heavy object on quil spray button and leg it.

Bristleback is the ultimate manly mode fighter. He is ready to get double kills and wreak the enemy safe lane at level 6 with just threads and a stick. He can have pretty much double damage as long as he spams the quills (which also stack damage)

Tell him to play Bristleback and he won't regurt it.

Bristleback does do a lot of damage in fights but he is far from manly.
Every time there any serious threat of damage he turns his back to the fight like a big pansy.

Axe on the other hand WANTS you to attack him. If you're too weak he just erases you from existence in one mighty blow. Shallow grave or not
