i'm in the part of understanding google protobufs and stuff and have just downloaded/installed visual studio 2010..
still having problems on where to locate raw game data
what kind of game, also u'll have to switch to c# cuz idk much about java
Java is not commonly used to program games (due to its low performance nature). In order to make a game, you need to be familiar with game engines like Unreal, Unity, XNA Game studio etc. The programming languages are likely to be Lua, C, C++ or C#.
If you want it ready in less the two weeks I suggest you to use flash/actionscript to create some "miniclip.com" type of game. If you want it cross-platform go for haxe, it's the same programming language. I can help you with "How to", but don't have time to actually write any code.
@Benao
Then why bother replying ?
@Doge
No worries I know da feels
@Sam
I will make it available in html so people can toy around with it if they want to :)
@BlackXargon
Sounds interesting, but what for ?
@Nova
I will learn Unity and such in about 2 months, but for now I want just a miniproject to spent some time on! However as I worked c# and Java, there is really barely any difference.
@Kitrak
Let's do it! Add me! Will be online tonight, have to work with google storage today.
@Awakened
It might be true that the mayority of games is written in Languages other than Java, as other languages biggest advantage is it prevails in garbage collection, but the difference here is that it will rather insignificant for as it will be a rather small game!
@Mid ty
I know the feels, don't worry :p
@6_din_49
I want to be done to be exact before the 12th-ish as then I will move. So I don't think I will have the time to get into it as I will first have to get a grasp on it and it will take time.

Hey everyone! Is anyone interested in creating a game in less than 2 weeks, just for fun ?
My background is mostly Java, but I can also do, even if basic, pixel art.
If anyone is interested, whether it be sound, art, programming or something else related just comment and we can agree on something!
