Anyone playing Cities Skylines? in General Discussion

Bought it during Steam Sale.. and the complexity of this game is way far from Sim City
I have restarted the game a lot of times already.. probably already spent a good 2-3 hours.
I had to browse Youtube walk throughs..

    Anyone playing this?

I played it for a decent chunk of time.

Got a decently stable 40k city and stopped playing. I guess it's because my city was stable enough I could still grow really fast, but I had to constantly keep fixing things and it felt like so much effort.

Then I used my banked money to suddenly build an entire new fantastical utopian (small) city across a river, but because it was so fantastical everyone abandoned the main city causing problems. It wouldn't have ended the game but it felt like so much effort to sustain.

Anyway, my advice to you is play slow and make sure you build good road systems. Don't be afraid to demolish houses to upgrade roads later on in the game. I found railroads to be fantastic, and I found the lumber industry to be great because it doesn't cause pollution. I don't know if it lowers something else in return, but I had no problems. You will get assloads of trucks/freight though. That's probably the issue.

I played it for a bit, and it is a lot more detailed, but it gets a bit boring

I mean you keep having to do the same thing really and then fix problems, which are repetitive too..
The road thing got more annoying then anything else too
Idk I enjoyed the old sim cities better because making a tornado crush half your city is just funner xD --> And you kinda had more freedom to do what you want with your city
