Since the album got leaked i figured i might as well listen to this shit early just to get it over with so i don't have to waste more of my time on this atrocious band.
There was a joke about BMTH being on a tour with Justin Bieber back in like 2016, it seems however that they've tooken that too literally because now it seems( judging from the tracks here) that's who they want to be: a shitty talentless pop artist spoon-fed to the masses of normies who think Imagine Dragons is the best "rock" band of all time and i'm not surprised that one of the biggest poser metal bands would decide to sellout even more and basically just try to ripoff Imagine Dragons, just like what Sell Out Boi and 30 Seconds to Boredom did. BTMH's music has always been shit with Sempiternal being a fluke at actually being a listenable album except now it sounds even poppier and more like Imagine Dragons which is NOT a good thing at all. I have complained about them being so immature during their Deathcore/Metalcore days they have matured since then but if this is what them "maturing" sounds like then i want them to go back to their immature shit.
This is by far their worst album, there are some truly awful songs here that are worthy of a score of nothing. They are mostly in the 2nd half of the album and there are literal tracks here that sound like they should belong in "America" by 30 Seconds of Talent, an album that i would literally call "Sleep Medicine" because it puts me to sleep whenever i hear it and so do some songs on this piece of shit.
These guys also tried to i guess either be "clever" or tried to "troll" with the song "Heavy Metal" which btw sounds absolutley nothing like Heavy Metal, its basically a song saying that "Yeah our shit is not "heavy metal" anymore,we are gonna stay playing our shitty ripoffs of Imagine Dragons, because fuck our old fans" which even though i do very much dislike scene kids, telling them to basically "fuck off" isn't going to help your case, but that is why BMTH is appealing to the normies who listen to Imagine Dragons, so their fanbase will praise them no matter what they do because "if its on the radio it must be good." that song is complete shit too. I'll laugh at someone uses that as an example to debunk "metal elitists" yeah because everyone who rightfully calls this piece of shit band out for their selling out to the mainstream is a "metal elitist" fuck off with that shit.
This album is gonna be a contender for worst of the year, which im not too surprised given the band because its kinda obvious that BMTH would suck, but this is a new level of sucking even for them, i can't help to wonder what they'll do next, they'll probably go full Imagine Dragons and if this is successful which it probably will be then that means bad things, it would mean other simular shitty bands would do the same thing as them, i can't wait for Asking Alexandria to ripoff Imagine Dragons which the scary thing is that actually might happen. In conclusion, fuck this album and fuck all rock bands who think selling out and turning into electropop and abandoning rock music all together is a good idea. What a way to start off my reviews for 2019 eh?
