One of the ways to win with him:
1. Never go full yolo shadow blade rush without treads. Ganking apperas to be a big problem in this meta for him, once he's down, you'll have hard time coming back
2. Always get aquila + treads + bottle(at least pt+bottle, dont rush big items)
3. Try to get blink/sb until min 12-14. SB, if you want to go for pickoffs, and if you can go for pick-offs. Blink, if you want to go for big aoe dmg, if you can hit your razes good enough, and after it, get s +y , or(if got sb), go for desolator+bkb or silver edge instead, if they can't really disable you.
SO, overall, lets sum it up:
Build 1: wraith band + Tangoes + Bottle + PT(upg to aquila) + SB + Deso/bkb/silver edge
Build 2: wraith band + Tangoes + bottle + PT + Aquila+ blink+s+y/skadi into daedalus/madness/bkb(depends)
Don't be passive. Aim for core item and start to help your team, and acclerate between farming and pushing/etc.
Saw your last game. You lack dmg item, desolator would be such good item in that game. You'd be able to 2-3-4 shot a lot of their heroes, and go for ez pick offs.
Your farm is also low.
You really need to hit timings for SF core items. Without it, everything starts to falls off quickly.
lol deso is a great item on sf
it just caters to a different playstyle, you generally deathball and end fast on that item
If you're raping the enemy mid, sb>deso is a retardedly powerful build, but you have to end early cuz no lifesteal without vlads. Or another very good build when you know you wont soak dmg is sb>madness, you hit so hard at around ~15 mins when you farm this its crazy. No one can manfight you as you'll just heal uyop aghain, but tis very weak to magic dmg and aoe disable. Third is going treads aquila>sny>skadi>bkb>satanic. You dont hit as hard as the other builds but you're damn near impossible to take down and can solo most teams
I also find it pretty hard to win as SF nowadays, im not sure why but its bothering me a lot.. You can dominate mid, have insane amount of cs and killing the tower early, then helping taking down other towers, camp in the enemy jungle hwile your carry farms your own jungle.. But at the end of the match it seems they always make a comeback and you cant manfight the other hard carries.
Just look at what happened in the last 5-7 SF matches in the TI, of course you can still win as SF but it seems so difficult right now.
About the deso build, Im not a fan of that because you lack sustain in teamfights and unless your team has healers or lots of urn charges you will always need to go back after a little push. AC is extremely good on the hero when the enemy has lots of physical damage.
Schyte of Vyse is also really good if you want to manfight an AM for example or many other heros, it definetely makes a huge impact because they dont really expect it.

mostly mids atleast in my games are lesh lina qop and storm
thats like 95% of the time
You just have to play around it, LGD won 2 games with it yesterday against VG, you just have to take advantage of the lead you get.
in pubs sfs often get rekt in mid by lesh and don't have the said advantage to work around.
if you pick sf put emphasis on surviving (don't die) and farming.
don't suicide into lesh for couple of creeps, get xp and stack the woods and get your farm from woods.
i can tell you what u have to do cuz usually i do the opposite and try to kill the enemy mid no matter what hero ( lmao)
Desolator is good becuase it's cheap. If you can get SB > Deso before min 20, be sure you'll make really big chaos on the map.
sb deso is worst shit. only works vs retards or vs lineups with no lockdown or high burst

It works well if you know how to use it. it's just not always "go to" item, and sometimes you'll need fast bkb, in case you need magic im.
It all really depends.
Im doing everything you guys are suggesting, i go aquila tread all the time then decide if i go sb or whatever but the problem is im almost always forced to go bkb next because theres always a fucking shaker or storm. Any dmg item gets me squishy, also its pretty hard to jungle and stack when you are forced into t3 at 20min because they got the better stuns and pickoff.
I'm actually happy that today's non-techies games are 15 minute deathballs. Took me awhile to get the hang of the new patch, but once I got into it, twas time to fuck shits :D
As you can see, I won 90% of my recent games by 15 minute deathballs.

Nobody could farm or splitpush, Storm was too far ahead thanks to SB charging solo all the time. We just never initiated. I guess I was just having a bad night and tilted.
i feel like SF is way weaker in the current pub meta compared to before. he's good in competitive building mek but if you build mek in a pub you're gonna get rekt unless your team is organized
i mean on radiant while stacking urself you can get 10-11 min pt mek bottle mb + aquila

if you dont stack and dont farm the woods at all then you will never have that at min 10

Man I miss 6.83 only because you could farm. Now every non-techie game is a 15min 5 man deathball where you just get 1 shotted. I guess the only way to play SF atm is to have mek(which i hate on sf) and a dazzle up your ass to grave + omni to repel you. Im no great SF player by any means, im just used to outfarm my opponent which i did even vs troll/sniper/jugg but now, everygame has a storm and shaker where i just get perma stunned.
