General DiscussionIf doto is only played by gentlemen, will it still be a fun game?

this is really pushing my imagination to it's limit..

it will be still fun, but quite different to the actual game
it's like comparing a spiderman comics to Titian's painting - you can enjoy both, but in different ways

Good Part: I would actually enjoy most of my DotA games.
Bad Part: Most of the reason I have > 50% winrate comes from beating newbs and kids who can't control their emotions or work as a team. Against gentlemen, I'd probably have 50% winrate.

The occasional flames are okay. But please limit it to within team chat. I hate it when people flame in all chat. There is really no need for it.

you mean like the one playing carry giving salve to his neardeath support? that would never happen lol
i think gentlemen would prefer play boring 1vs1 chess rather than to play toxic 1vs9 doto "dontdef of the oncient"

I mostly only play in stacks so the rage and flame are pretty minimal. Unfortunately when you play with "gentlemen" you just don't get the experience of having a 13 year old tell you that he fucked your mother, while a 2nd 13 year old talks in Russian about something he did to my mother.

All chat flamming and shaming is the most fun part about doto - why would you ignore it?

most of the so-called gentlemen i meet are acting like princesses and they're trying to make you look like a monkey when you point out their mistakes, these people usually suck all of enemies' dicks

i'll rather get a flaming asshole who plays decently than garbage "gentleman" who tries to prove me wrong in everything by his fake politeness

in my head, i usually picture these people as those fedora wearing mongols
