you had cosmetics for levels, that was your reward. they didn't take your cosmetics, did they?
there was no other point in dota levels except leveling smurf to 13 for unlocking rankeds

Talking about this, the old Dota 2 has a box that you can unwrap whenever you level up. Has that been removed?
The Source 1 levels weren't removed, they were converted into a Trophy (Battle Point Level Trophy or similar) that adds experience to the new level system.
They changed old useless leveling system into new shiney useless leveling system.
Nothing changed.
Arin - Having levels is a cosmetic thing as well. That cosmetic thing has now been removed it seems like.

Has the old level system in Dota2 been removed with the overhaul of the new client? In all of my time ive probably spend about 70-80$ on battle point boosters only to see all the levels i got out of that being taken away from me? Is it possible to get a refund by any means?
