I noticed you haven't played many heroes with a high win rate in the meta. Check the meta and look for heroes you can play, you will have a better chance of winning your games again.
Dont Focus on the mistakes your Team makes, Focus on the mistakes you make yourself and try to avoid them. Watch your own replays and think where you couldve been making better decisions. Watch pro games in Player perspective. Learn last hitting, denying, aggro-pulling, stacking, pulling,... in bot games....
yoo just believee man, BELIEVEEE!!! and play, ure actually quite lucky getting 1k when just started dota, most pople would get < 1k ( i got 800) or thats just me!?!?!?
did u have any dota experience before? if no, ur mmr is ok u just have to learn the game.
some some high winrate hero. check the hero meta page. For low mmr, that's omni, ursa, spectre, zeus, necro.
I got calibrated at 600 and I'm 1.8k, recently I got around 500 mmr and it's just by being friendly to people and playing heroes I like, not the ones that are in the mate that bore me to death. It's actually like I'm palying in the 6.84 patch by spamming Storm and Leshrac xD
^full of shit
@OP the simple truth of the matter is: The lower your MMR, the easier it is to win the game on your own, especially playing hero's like meepo. I promise you, literally any 4K+ player could win 95% of games at 1.6K. No matter how bad their team is, no matter if every lane feeds from the start, no matter if they are counter picked by all 5 enemies.
You are SO FAR from being anything CLOSE to good at Dota or being good at Meepo. Hate to break it to you, but if you want to get better you MUST look only at yourself.
Go to YouTube and watch purge play some of your favorite heroes, hell explain alot about things that'll help you destroy heroes in 1k cuz they don't execute alot of what purge teaches. So you'll have the upper hand in understanding more about dota.
One thing is too, before you play ranked w. New heroes, get familiar with them in matches vs unfair bots so you can learn weaknesses / strengths of the heroes and the mechanics, so then you can go into real match w. Better idea of the hero . Its not difficult to win vs 1k players in almost every single match.
Farm more, kill more, push more, die less, don't follow ur team into bad fights, let them know in a nice way to avoid a fight if you think they may walk into a bad fight soon. If you know you can kill heroes, do it, and ping enemies so ur teammates atleast help w. Their spells
I'd say watch replays, but a 1k can't identify their mistakes that easily. So watch Purge or someone analyze replays of people in 1k or 2k. You learn a lot of small stuff.
Git gud.
Damn, I don't care for OD or Spectre, cause those heroes are boring to play, but I really gotta start playing more Invoker and Zues.
I think that a good way of learning dota is watching dota lets plays. I don't really like purge's videos so I recommend a guy called Baumi he keeps it fun but also keeps up to date on the meta and can teach you a lot through watching and also the tips he gives you. Also two best heroes too spam and have fun with right now are Zeus and spectre. Zeus is silly for damage and spectre is just op
Thanks a load guys really helpful stuff :')
I cant play on other regions since I lag and again thanks for all the advice and telling what heroes to pick and all. Cheers ^.^
Do you think I should get better at meepo and start spamming that or just go for heroes that are in the meta these days like spectre etc?

So basically when I started dota i started playing a couple of ranked matches as soon I hit the level and that was like 2 years ago and now I am in this 1k pool and i cant seem to get out. Im not saying that I deserve to be higher mmr or anything but i mostly show consistent performance in my matches and in very few matches do I actually play really crap. I spam meepo and ta etc but i dont manage to win many games with them because honestly I cant really finish the whole game on my own. I know my mmr is really low and all but I managed to raise my solo to 1.6k from 1.1k and now it dropped back to 1k and I just dont know what to do, do i start playing support now or what because this is really frustrating :3
Any advice from you guys would be really helpful thanks :')
