@Sam Fuckin' Peckinpah: 900 gold for 250 mana is good, skipping bottle for ring or health means that the difference is 1600 gold

getting ring of health over bottle is a terrible trade if you're looking for some early regen, aether lens itself is not that bad on od but there are BETTER items, drums is gotten for the active, not just the stats, the ms and as boost is critical for od in the early game which is his most important phase

and after drums you want an atos or blink, not an aether. once you those item, you go for bkb/moonshard

like theres never a time u can slot aether in

@nami: you don't play od neither but your arguments make sense

1. You dont have the Slots
2. Drums are better in nearly every way imaginable
3. 250 Mana isnt like 20int because 20 int gives 250 mana +20dmg (main Attribute), mana regen (not really needed, whatev,..)
4. The range buff on astral and ult is 95% useless

If you seriously wanna theory craft an odd-ball item, Veil of Discord would be the way better choice, since it gives a ton of int, some survivability and hp-regen and of course the active (which is kinda useless if you dont have other Magic damage Dealers tbf). Arteezy was buying aquila veil instead of bottle drums when he was playing safelane OD and it kinda works.

Gives some stats, some nice attack speed, armor,... Arteezy just seems to love the item atm, I only could see it vs a heavy physical dmg lineup, otherwise I agree, Wand is the way to go.

Veil on Od is great the active makes a big difference when you drop the hammer
