Yes.Its right.Same thing here, have 4k,but in recalibration i was first and second game in 3.3k,win two games with kda 5+ and 1st place damage on map on Phantom Asassin and.....no changes, 3.3-3.4k avarage.Its usefull only for 1k trash,who wanna buy Battle Pass on new acc and immediatealy Calibrating Season Rating.Ez money for volvo(again)

Yes it starts off as re-calibration to an extent and can help 2k and below players. Beyond that its just a separate queue for people the compendium
