It's fine , it gives plus 60 damage , plus 60 attack speed and some armour even if they build mkb. Also helps to know when to build it . Some heros hate building mkb and often times you can look in thier inventory and see they are halfway through building a different item so you know it'll be awhile for a mkb .
how the fuck is it useless? 60 dmg, 60 attack speed, 4+ armor, the flutter effect is quite useful. It's close to the same dmg output as a daedulus depending on your other stats, that attack speed is juicy.
normal skill forever. Butter needs timing(mostly after few core items when enemy carry is little bit behind doing another item or so and you have got tons of gold for fast butter)...when it is timed well(against certain heroes), enemy can´t do shit. It force enemy carry to waste at least one slot...Guess you never seen Notail and his Tiny in pro games.
Forcing the enemy to buy a sub-optimal item only to counter a slight part of your JUST ONE item is already good value. Most heroes are terrible with MKBs and even then at most two heroes will buy it.
Daedulus is like a million times better than mkb, well ok that's an overstatement, but it's a better item, so forcing carries into mkb over daedulus is always nice.
Only a handful of heroes naturally are ok building mkb like gyro and medusa, troll is alright. But even then I'd rather have daedulus.
Let set the scenario, you (agi carry) have bfly, enemy carry has mkb:
then you have +60 AS, +60 dmg, + 4 armor
enemy carry has +15 AS, +66 dmg, +55 magic dmg on attack avg
And you still have 35% evasion vs everything else
Bfly is a great item, half of the carries are bad mkb holders anyways like pl.
If youre playing a flash farming carry you can replace bfly by skadi or something else later in the game and force enemy cores to build mkb, i do this all the time when im playing naga and they cant replace mkb due the lack of gold and the factor i still have 17% evasion (radiance).

I feel that Butterfly should be reworked. One MKB definitely counters Butterfly making it practically useless late game. Maybe the evasion should be reworked to dodge with a 15% chance. That would make it a great item for agi heroes especially considering its 5k+ gold cost.
