To all the haters out there, I have a computer. But I can't even stay at a restaurant past 10 cuz' of the curfew. And it's not just the curfew I hate, it's literally everything he does. He lacks professionalism and manners. He thinks that brute force can stop the war on drugs - drugs would have been extinct by now if that were the case. And he doesn't even have major projects. All he has are dump ideas that don't work and annoy people's lives. And just because he says he can solve a problem doesn't mean he can. "I can make the Philippines a 'drug-free' country in 6 months." Well 1st-world countries have already been trying for decades.

Why all the hate? The curfew is perfectly fine, what business would a 15 year old or younger person have outside the comforts of his home, without adult supervision? Would you really sacrifice your safety for a game (even if the game is awesome)? Also, regarding the "I will make PH drug-free in 6 months" statement, raids on drug dealers using the Buy-Bust Operation (among other methods) have been conducted throughout the Philippines and have seen great success. Although it does seem a bit idealistic, we can't deny the results. In fact, he has been so successful that drug dealers all around have been turning themselves in, in hopes of lighter sentences (which they deserve). True he is teetering on the edge of being unusually strict to just being plain foul-mannered, but I guess that's just how you gotta be to be able to deal with pushers lounging in the confines of their home, untouchable in terms of legal means because of "protectors" in the chain of command. I'm not saying extrajudicial killings should be freely embraced, but we cannot fight against a presidential candidate that CLEARLY won a fair election concerning the general populace. All we can do now is support his administration and trust for the Vice-President to stand by her platform of upholding human rights, and hope that Duterte and Robredo take the best out of their respective "idealistic" vision for PH, using it to form a country that will see genuine progress.
Also I watch ABS-CBN and TV5 news, I don't know if I'm seeing what the media wants me to see but what I CAN see is drug dealers either dying under mysterious circumstances or locked behind bars. Good enough for me, especially since I'm from Mindanao, where the real sht happens.
^^ On a side note, regarding his lack of major projects, he and his former running mate Alan Cayetano talked about a "master" plan during their campaign. That is to say, plans that come from governments all over the world, but have basically the same effect: making progress. And logically you can't argue with this since plans are, well, planned so that we can change for the better. Projects don't have to be major to make a difference, a minor(in the sense of budget) yet pivotal project such as the simple continuation of roadway construction or the repair of sewage systems will have a visible result in our community where pollution is rampant. So why isn't this world a utopia right now if such a thing exists? The missing element, they said, was political will. A firm yet gentle hand was needed to guide this budding nation into prosperity. As he said during the Presidential debate if all the other candidates' projects all look good in paper, why make new projects if there's some just waiting to be implemented? Duterte certainly fills the image of a strong leader and more or less can keep his virtues. Although whether he can stay away from massive and blatant corruption remains to be seen, our people trusted him enough to win the election by a landslide, and I plan to put my faith in him.
