Invoker can go a lot of different routes. My favorite route is the quas exort which focuses on mid game damage and securing kills early with sunstrike. Another way to go is quas wex. This focuses more on early game ganks and utility. Quas exort is generally considered the better way to go.
Dota cinema has a really basic guide on YouTube and I like to watch pro gameplay for invoker. make sure you learn the muscle memory.

Okay, so I'm looking for very basic, general info on Invoker, like starting items, skill build, item progression, who to watch, and if any, what guides to subscribe too? I understand he's probably the most flexible hero in the game, but there has to be some consistency on how he's built earlier on.
