General Discussionare valve's performance meters bs?

I got a barely above average performance for this game http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/2704337691

I got a 10 for pushing but only like a 7 for fighting despite having a kda of 14.3 and being involved in 87% of our team's kills, second highest hero dmg in the game only behind tinker. At the result screen my farm wasn't that great which is probably why it knocked my average performance down.

We've already discussed some other meters like how to get a 10 farming and it seems near impossible. To get a 10 supporting is pretty easy.

So are these meters actually worth anything or just bullshit fluff? I feel like they're completely worthless, though I do like seeing the +/- compared to my hero averages. However if you don't have much of a history with that hero those can be worthless too. You shouldn't get an outstanding rating farming 500gpm cus you usually farm 200gpm and that +300 means you're way above your average cus you still suck.
