Lol i wud always jump on the squishy and use ball lightning to kite big boy melee dps bois but tbh this is something i rlly rlly suck at executing.

be patient and have in mind everything that can fuck you up so you either dodge it or wait on the edges of teamfight until those spells are used (like chrono) or you wait until that person shows up (lion with hex, disruptor etc)

but i think that anywhere in 3k/4k something like

"dont do stupid shit, keep farming, eventually start jumping at people and win because you have twice the enemy networth while opponents cant press buttons and keep wandering off" is sufficient to win 70% of games

a lot of living is knowin gwhere they are and how long it will take them to cast shit on you, and knowing what spells have already been casted

against high dps u can go shivas eventually, i like going bs orchid shiva a lot but i dont pick storm in ranked. against nukes ur options are basically bkb and linkens, pretty standard stuff. you just dont want to get a super fast bkb and then end up playing with a 5s bkb for 20 minutes, thats the worst shit ever

whats bad about storm though
i mean hes not probably anyhow good but he doesnt seem game-losing pick either
is it just the root mechanic change?

storm has been shit for nearly 2 years now. it's just that there are better heroes for everything a storm could do. unless you have like 6 million games with him. in that case you can play around your weaknesses

Storm deals no damage compared to meta hero now, and he need a lot of farm to be effective too

Root disables ball lightning but doesn't disable fire remnant XD

Wht the fck u guys sayin . Strom is great hero , if u have high iq you will easly ply this hero also with hiss ball of lightning u can evade anything or even persuit anyone , the problem is ur mana calculation and ur fucking iq

Bkb,shiva/talent tree armor.
Kill the hero that is crucial for your victory, e.g Magnus.

I learned from ywn how to give advice, props to him

storm is good only when you team has more initiators and not just you: your jump is followed by some other jumps/casts. So consider having specter/axe/silencer/monkey to have on your team

Imagine having silencer in the enemy team. Storm jump he press ult and you are just dead. Compare this with ember, with the same networth as bloodstone orchid, he could have manta veil and bot. And ember playstyle is sof and root then w8 for the right time to jump not like storm who need to be so close at the enemy. However, if you are good enough you can dodge stuns silences and thing like that

don't die, silence the core carry, nuke the back line, get out.
