you can always go force staff as first medium item (i almost always buy it on ranged mids if there's a riki in the enemy) it gives you more survivability, and easily creates space for the others if you get 2 man ganked but u escape with a click of a button
answering your first question, it is reliable if the enemy has hard hitters but no gap closers like od

Speaking of sniper stuff with the hurricane pike cost increase does that bring shadow blade back into the picture as a more viable item?
Plus Force staff is really good positioning item! And combined with dragon lance, so why not get it!!
He's really good. Shrapnel is so strong people can't dive you any more. Just don't get caught out.
I don't know how I farmed this much but it felt really fucking good

Is sniper a reliable pick? He seems strong but mobility is a BIG issue how to overcome his shortcomings and also can he be spammed picked? Seems unlikely but just looking for opinions
