I, along with almost all other kids I knew, and it was quite a number, loved violence, or anything violent in my teen years, and if you look into yourself, you'll realize it was the same for you as well. So, what was your point again? Do you need something as obvious as that to be verified by some study?

Anime is basicaly human imagination put on the screen without some progressive(SJW) agenda out of Hollywood behind it.
People like to identify with anime characters because they are more likeable than any character out of any other content currently being created.
also western and eastern media have different taboos so it is interesting to see more content that would be taboo in the western media
