I watched my hero academy, It was decent but still has a long way to actually get into real story.
I watched Berserk episodes from 1997, and finished the 25 episodes. Now I'm not sure what comes next. was that all a season 1? if so Season 2 doesn't look like right. It's a bit confusing.... and the way the story ended damn I can't believe they left people with that feeling since 1997 -.-

The real Berserk experience is actually reading the manga though. The adaptations it's received hasn't really done it justice.
Some other animes that you could try are Trigun and the Hellsing OVAs (The regular anime is kinda crappy, look up Hellsing Ultimate instead).
