It must be different, Im around 1800 solo and party mmr crusader 3 although according to the wiki i should be a crusader 0.
your medal can be base on your solo or party mmr. you can see both under "my profile" --> "stats"
Wins/losses on either mode will influence the medal to some degree per Valve

So I just earned Archon 2 while slogging through the 1400 trench tier. I thought that level was at least 2400ish. Note I calibrated Archon 0 and got Archon 1 through wins, then plummeted.
Maybe my hidden MMR is high?
