They did this to prevent exploits.

I prefer this, because most of boosted acc are inactive during the season, and let the medal "hang" in their profiles. as Omegalul said before, in latest updates in ranked system you can exploit the system by picking something with extreme damage per minute, or GPM, Healing, etc. A few years ago I saw a guy who constantly pick omniknight and after getting mekans, he just sit on the base healing himself during the whole match, and got 5800 MMR. that's abuse,..

no they dont, they can play without fear because the medal deosnt decrease. and once new season starts all they have to do is pay a 6k mmr player 50$ to play 10 matches and they're back at 4k

exactly the reason why my games at 3.3k are filled with players that have 41% ranked winrates.

I mean, ofc booster will win. But in old calibration booster performance is ofc better compared to all people in that mmr and he will get high mmr. There is actually no difference for booster.

But i like this system because finally people play dota for win, not for get high stats etc

This system is actually better than the old one. The boosters or account buyers might caliberate a higher medal than they deserve, but they wont last in that same medal for long. In earlier caliberation system, all you had to do was pick zues or spec and only care about your total dmg and nothing else.
