It's only good vs. big ulti heroes that deal massive stun + damage through BKB like FV or Enigma. Maybe a WK or Abaddon with Aghs+CDR could find a use for it in being really annoying. Utility cores with escape like Puck or QoP (after L25) might consider it if the enemy team has a lot of disables and are good enough to chain them properly. Otherwise, it's pretty meh.
Good against long cool down ultis like chronograph, black hole , etc. Really good on dp, any semi squishy heroes who are crucial to team fights like do, SK maybe, venom etc. It's a situational item though.
I think it's good when you are a teamfight support.
If they initiate on you, aeon disk gives you a few valuable seconds to drop your spells.
On carry however, I think the item is weak sauce. Because your gonna get underneath the hp trigger limit anyway.
Unless you're being locked down as stated above, by heroes like void. F.E
Weak carrys can use this item as well.

That item feels a bit underwhelming, especially when built on squishy supports that drop very fast in hp during fights. I mean, I know that that's exactly the point of getting an aeon disk but it has a long ass cooldown and I think getting other defensive and mobility items would be better, more armor even. Also Idk if it's just my impression but I feel like people have been fighting 24/7 lately and games tend to be overall more aggressive, making that long cooldown an even bigger handicap. I'd rather buy it on a Morph/PA vs Void or something. Any thoughts?
