I've tried meepo, I just get hard counter picked or outplayed. https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/5292723524 last meepo game, I was getting kills early, but ended up stealing my pos1 farm and he ended up doing 0 damage later on, and it's too hard for me to carry games alone...
then only pick meepo in the last part of the draft phase if you're not good enough to win against counters. I think any immortal meepo player would be able to win against ancients picking meepo counters.
"but ended up stealing my pos1 farm and he ended up doing 0 damage later on, and it's too hard for me to carry games alone"
don't steal your carry's farm and then blame him for not having items. if you are the strongest hero on the map currently, you can use that advantage to farm your opponents side of the map and take away farm from the enemy team instead of taking farm from your own team.
FYI your jugg only had 200 less damage than you, so he was actually managing to do more with less farm.
if you want to get better you should analyse some of your replays instead of just spamming more games and doing the same mistakes. watch what other people are doing and figure out *why* they do it, so that you can apply that logic to other parts of the game. that way if the balance of the game changes then you can adapt to it. some advice might help you gain mmr in the short term (e.g. picking OP heroes) but won't make you a better player when that hero gets nerfed.
improving is difficult and thats why a lot of us stagnate, we don't want to put in the effort to becoming better. but if you want to, then expect to put in effort and not just time. that's why there are people with thousands of games that are still archon for example. there's nothing wrong with that if they are okay with their rank, but realise that just playing more games without thinking about them won't make you better.
i dont know how this ppl who know they cant carry their game alone think they desrve to be higher rank.
its the whole point buddy. u should be able to carry the game on your own! you have one mmr for your self. not mmr for your teammates. not a mmr for your friends. just yourself.
dont listen to these noobs ... You must learn how to last hit and dent creeps then you get good
I mean it's pretty hard to win a game by yourself when its a 5v5 game. I just get chainstunned in a 1v5 teamfights, and that doesn't sound like a winning strategy. I've been rewatching my games recently to see what mistakes I make the most as of Androgynous advised so I hope I'll improve somehow. As for meepo, I just meant my micro skills and not immortal tier, it's more like ancient tier and that's why I'm stuck at this rank, but improving on that particular hero seems extremely hard as compared to easier but boring heroes like wraith king or ursa. Anyways, thanks for the advice.
I mean, then just dont take 5v1s..?
Or even XV5, you could take their racks if you see 5 enemies grouped up instead.
Improve on laning mechanics and start crushing your lane to build an early advantage.
Im 100% positive you can solocarry games in 4k mmr

Years ago I calibrated at 2k mmr. I've managed to climb my way to 4k, but have been stuck there for like 3 years now. I've tried watching gameleap guides and high mmr players, but I still can't get any mmr. I would like to get to immortal. What should I do? I usually play pos1/2.
