low priority is here for a reason and deal with it. SD is a mode from dota 1 where you pick 3 heroes. Since you're new i will explain. Before the thing happen in order to get out of LP u need to win people were playing vs bots to remove their games no matter win/loss. Then valve removed it and people started playing AP i think (im not sure about that) and again someone will go feeding on purpose so that the game ends and for that they changed it SD=only win. As for your questions: you're as bad as them (i read later about wifi connection, but still) since in LP players go who're toxic or play bad (im too). Basically LP is what it should be. Toxic, unpleasend, game and time losing, unneeded. Also with 1 abandon u will not be send into LP unless uve been frequently reported. As for being sup or carry it depends on your mood. LP is sht. As for improvement pick 1 role you like and stick with it. Learn the heroes who're meta and play with them. Set yourself goals to achieve. Like how many last hits i shouldve, how many deaths i should have and so on. Watch your replays as well. Pro players some times are not playing the game seriously and are experimenting stuff, best way to understand is to watch pro matches. Now ongoing are WePlay!Pushka and DotaPIT with chinese teams (at least im watching that) and thats it. Dota 2 is the only game where playing more = you suck more.
@ Bambooni Sorry for the late reply, here is some things about your points.
"Also with 1 abandon u will not be send into LP unless uve been frequently reported."
This was my summary on the game before I had to abandon https://imgur.com/85AgJ9Y
"you're as bad as them"
I cannot disagree with you, I know that i am bad but at least I am trying to win and I am trying to lift everyone spirits and I am trying to give constructive critisism.
"Watch your replays as well."
I do alreaddy, as I stated in the wall of text "Ive tried many things like watching high mmr replays, my own replays"
"low priority is here for a reason and deal with it."
I undurstand what you are saying and I know that theres no real way to fix it.
"Set yourself goals to achieve."
My goal is to get out of low priority and to tell my wifi provider to give better wifi so I dont ruin games.
Seriously, i said this to a friend of mine. If your connection is SO BAD, why you stick playing ranked games? You cant expect people to like you and listen to you when you are bringing your team down, making them lose their mmr because of lag and dc.
Now about getting better, best thing to do is choosing like 2 heroes to master. Watch pros playing them, try to see everything they are doing. And map awareness, learn to use your mini map. But getting better in Dota takes time, dont think you watch a couple of replays and now you should be good. Ah and another thing, you have to enter in the game with "I WILL DO THIS AND THAT" in mind, dont just watch replays, queue for a match and play like a bot. force your brain out of comfort zone, DO WHAT YOU LEARNED.
@ Meia Vida
My connection can be good at certain times where it can reach 6+ Mbps all game, but some games I get less then 2 Mbps, I try to play a lot of my games when the wifi peack speed is higher then normal, not many people are mad at me in my games because I dont leave as much anymore.
Also thank you for the motivational words "DO WHAT YOU LEARNED".
1. Welcome to Dota 2.
2. Don't play Ranked Matchmaking if you have an unstable/unreliable internet connection - it will only tilt your teammates and keep you in LP. Play every other mode, have fun in the game, but don't play ranked if you foresee any problems in your internet connection, or ability to play in general.
3. LP sucks, but that's how it is and you'll soon learn that making complaints against the system on sites like dotabuff will get you nowhere. In fact, the Dotabuff community is especially negative, critical, immature, cruel and hostile. I haven't posted anything significant here in years, but I do lurk the forums from time to time, and just a quick glance through the posts will show you how toxic the Dotabuff community is. These people don't really like to discuss value-adding, helpful constructive stuff; they just like to flame each other, much like how they behave in game, most likely. If you want to have constructive discussions, go to reddit.
4. If you want to improve, you will have to grind and do the hard work of playing the game for many countless hours. There is a large element of luck involved of course, given that it's a 5v5 game and you have to rely on the performance of your teammates to some extent. If you are really good, you will certainly shine, but the path out of low MMR is long and hard. Whether it's worth it, is entirely your call and judgement - the game is both rewarding as well as frustrating. I have recently been trying the game Smite, and honestly, I miss Dota so damn much. Nothing really compares to Dota's strategy, complexity and engagement.
5. Have fun playing, and grind away, but remember that it's a game at the end of the day - many many people have 6k and above accounts, so don't devote your life to the concept of MMR grinding. It's not really THAT big of a deal, and it's unlikely that you'll go pro. Maybe if you have the connections and if you reach 8k, you might, but other than that, don't put aside actual real-life responsibilities for this game. Remember that you will have to go back to reality at some point.

"In fact, the Dotabuff community is especially negative, critical, immature, cruel and hostile."
So far from the posts on this topic I think that theres still people out here who are helpfull, like you.
"Whether it's worth it, is entirely your call and judgement"
Yes, It is, I still dont know if I want to keep learning or play different games, im only devoting 40% of my gaming time to dota.
"don't put aside actual real-life responsibilities for this game."
Probably the smartest thing I have ever heard from the community of dota 2.
"don't devote your life to the concept of MMR grinding"
I know, dont worry, I have a life outside of dota and I am not addicted to dota as bad as some people are.
Thank you for your input.
Maybe u can play some othe game, your abandon is ruining 4 hours of other peoples lives. Everytime u abandon just go and stand towards the corner od your room for 4 hours and think about hoe u ruined the ame for everyone else.
said by the guy just ruined a game for other people and there is a discussion about it in another topic. amazing!
maybe improve ur own attitude and dont play rank if u dont have stable connection? so basic thinking requires basic actionS? are u 12 year old or what?
Hello OP, I have to say I didn't make it to the end of your post 'cause damn... And I thought I liked writing. But I got your point and can tell you I've been in the exact same situation since forever. The difference is that I get mad easily and become toxic af on top of that. Think about it though, can you blame the system and the other players? We ruin games, unintentionally for sure, but we do and it's not fair. It's like constantly driving around on a car with little to no gasoline in it. It will stop at one point and will make everyone get stuck, over and over. I don't understand single draft either, I despise it too, but it's not that people in lp are supposed to have fun in the first place. It's literally a punishment and I think a way for Valve to discourage people even more to end up there. If you love videogames that have an online mode then do something to sustain this since under these circumstances it's a lost cause for you and for your teammates. Take the suggestion coming from someone who made this mistake for years. Good luck
I'm always getting lp when i start losing streak or when I experiment with new heroes. I'm as bad as them too, but as i said. Watch YOUR replays and see what you did wrong. If your laning stage is bad watch it only. If your fights are bad watch does and so on. Watch the minimap as well. Also try switch to 5ghz router or get an ethernet cable these works. Just make sure your devices supports 5ghz. Some routers provides 5ghz and 2ghz

Hello Dotabuff forums! I am just a random barcode player passing through and seeing if these forums are l worth sticking around to. Since this is my first post, please go easy on me, I do not know the rules around here.
Now to my questions about Low Priority.
I am getting very unpleasant experiences playing single draft mode due to low priority which is upon my account, which does not let me play normal all pick and ranked games. The main issue with single draft is that it restricts the heroes that it lets me play, its 3 completely random heroes out of the entire hero pool, I do not undurstand what is the point of this, I get that valve is trying to seperate the positive players and the negative players, but giving only 3 heroes, especially to people that only do good with a select few heroes will decrease their likely hood of winning the game and having fun. Another issue of mine, is that my wifi can be really bad sometimes, I am talking around 1-3 Mbps which make the game almost fully unplayable. I get my low priorities from abandoning due to poor wifi connection, and I cannot do anything about it, its good for 5 minutes then it all goes down instantly. I dont think I should be playing with people who are honestly very negative, since I try to be as positive and supportive of them as I can, but I can do very limited things with my wifi. My main point is that there should only be like a 24 or 48 hour ban from matchmaking and now low priority after abandoning due to bad wifi, but I can see an issue, the system wont be able to tell when the person is abandoning because of rage, or because of poor wifi connection. Another complain that I have are the large que times, It took me like 1 and a half hours to find a game yearstoday, and even after that long of a searching the games are still very far apart on the skill rating, some players that I am meeting are very new to the game, and are unrnaked, some others player who I am meeting are very good compared to others, and its hard for me to get my team to coordinate, i try to be really nice about things and tell me team how to increase their likely hood of winning, but because of me typing so much they for some reason cant controll their emotions and click on the enemy's ancient and just give uncontested gold kills and experience to the enemy team even after i try helping them.
To summarize for those who dont want to read this long paragraph, im getting put a lot in low priority due to poor wifi connection, and I am being put with those who are very angry and very fast mood changes sometimes, this causes me to loose a lot of games no matter my performance, Im getting a lot of people on my team to make game loosing plays subcontiosly (meaning they undurstand taht those are game loosing plays) or even abandon perfectly winnable games.
My question is, should I play carry even if someone else is playing carry, or do I try my best to support my carries even if they do not lisen to the things or tips that i have to say? I feel like I can accomplish a lot more when I am a fast farming core, like Naga Siren, where I can take advantage of my skills to farm more effectively then the players around me would. My attitude is fine, im telling the people what to do to improve our chances of winning together as a team, but they do not want to lisen to me no matter what I say.
And now to my question about Improvement.
I have done a lot of things to improve, I have watched divine replays, I have watched random pro games, I have watched chanels like gameleap dota and even dota 2 bowie to try to think better, at the end of every episode i start gaining confidence and my knowledge increases, by when i get ingame my brain cant think the things that it remembered, I do not know why but it really likes to forget things, I can even tell when I am making a bad play right the second that I am doing it, yet my hands are not doing what my brain is trying to do, I know this seems confusing because English is not my primary language, but I cannot find words that i know that describe my issue. I was wondering what other tips you fellow dota 2 players could give me on improvement. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic I am not able to go outside much, so I spend a lot of time playing games that I like. I am very serious about dota 2 and I always want to try my best, and to make sure that my team is having fun as well as I am having fun, especially in ranked, because for some reason my brain likes the shiny pixels that you get as a reward for getting a higher rank in the game.
To summarize the paragraph for those who dont want to read, I am doing a lot of things to try to improve, but it is just not working out for me, i feel like im getting better and better, especially at drafting which is usually my weak point, over the past few months ive been watching pro games and making my own predicitons on the outcome based on the draft and on the teams playing, I managed to get a 64% correct rate on drafts prediction who will win the game, but in game, I am very bad at drafting and I cant think normally because of the large timer counting down on top of my screen.
My question is, what ways of improvement worked for you fellow dota 2 players? Ive tried many things like watching high mmr replays, my own replays, watching educational dota 2 videos made by different creators, and my brain just keeps not sticking the information, like I know I am a very bad player compared to the other players, I can tell my own mistakes, but i cant stop doing it.
Sorry for making this post very long and taking a lot of your guys's time, but I really needed to ask someone this for a long time now, I hope I dont get too much angry-emotions from this community for making a secondary account like this and asking so many weird questions.
Thank you for reading.
Have a good day everyone.
