Tnx for sharing this. I have been trying so hard to rank up to at least crusader but after long streak wins long losing streaks starts. Idk how it works but you have good explanations. They should really think something for their game otherwise only parties can play dota

I spammed only pos 5 for an entire year and I went from Crusader 4 to Ancient 5.

Matchmaking system works as expected. Low skilled individuals stay at low mmr. You can blame the system all you want.

Valve ban us on Reddit and on forum just because we talk about their scam. And boosters speak ridiculous sht to make you unhappy even without any evidence. They dont even read my posts, just bark like dogs. If you read it you will see anyone can rank up because one win + one loss = mmr +1 but it has absolutely nothing to do with your skill. The system is as messy as garbage trash. If you are pro player or good player in Immortal you will agree that their games are pure garbage, that is why pro players ask for a change and what they get is "Recruite Mode" which is even more garbage than before.
I can solo in mid lane against any booster and crush them like cockroaches, but I can never win because my team die faster than flies. That is the sad truth about Dota 2

you being crusader and wintraders being rank 4 are not related

real players come and go but boosters keep boosting

So, you can only play AA, Spec, and Techie. Even on your best hero AA you don't know how to block enemy camp, you keep your sentry in your pack only to be dewarded immediately after placing it. You ward near cliff which only idiots do that. You farm at safe lane like pos 1 even when you play pos 5. Your first item is Eul which shows you have no idea about your role or your game. You have the least Damage and most death, feeding axe many times. Your contribution to the game is negative, your team can win faster without you.

Every time I queue for next game I get EXACTLY same people or at least 2 of them from my previous game!!!! What is wrong with you Valve?

No Seasonal MMR Rest for 12 years, rig our games by forcing us to lose. One win + one loss = MMR +1. This is booster la la land!!! Boosters have made it to Immortal 4 and using bots for ez mmr by fighting at top lane 5 vs 5.

Maybe the game is better of dead? 10K hrs and have played off and on but sparingly in the last 5 yrs. cannot get out of the pit. Maybe it has to do with something other than game play? This stuff is catnip for flamers trying to shoot you down but I think you have a point. Hard to win against a stacked deck. I don't want to play with tryhards learning heros. Why spend valuable time with things that don't bring you happiness. If it's rigged, and people are perptuating a rigged system, it's better of dead.

I agree. The science is sound. On 12k behaviour score. I win matches so easily. Go on massive winstreaks, almost every game people complain that I am a smurf.. I get, "he is not our bracket".. "report booster" etc...

and then game after game, yes they winnable, but i have to play with like maximum mental effort. if I am pos 3, my mid and carry get absolutely trashed.. I still win these games, but it makes me feel raw. Like in comparison a day of exttremly difficult work in real life.. and I'm like.. is this supposed to be fun?

People have complained about this for years, and instead its turned back on the customer, "this is your fault." "mad cause bad".. Uh..

There is no way that having a 12k behaviour score can start a game back to back to back with the players all flaming eachother and saying GG .. going 0-10 a few minutes into the game 0-20 10 minutes in the game.. and I'm supposed to break my back to try win..

Yeah it's not fun. I've beaten immortal 2000 players mid no problem.. But I do not have the energy to dedicate my soul to this game.

I think there could be a documentary about this as the game has all the qualities of what people love.. it should be the best game in the world.. but I must say in 2016 it was more fun.. and I knew quite a few people in real life who played it since dota 1 and were still playing it.. 95% of them have stopped since 2016..

Now it's just lazy... and all signs point to the developers being sociopathic and not being able to see the affects on mental health. This game is a mental health apocalypse.. and its not the communities fault. everyone has their breaking point, and being broken time and time and again leaves people in a mental health crisis.

I mean... the best players are burnt out as f.. and stop playing the game.. miracle, ana etc.. I mean take a look at quinn. He's amazing! But you can see every cell of his body is repulsed by the game. Too many people on my friends list.. Get it at it at ranked... They gain 300 mmr lose 300 mmr gain 300 lose 300 and it goes on and on and on.. eventually having breakthroughs and then having drops.. They dedicate their lives to it. They could make college degrees, they could look after their physical health, start families; but they are trapped in this prison of grinding and grinding and grinding... Why the hell should there be a grind. The fact that turbo is the most fun mode should say it all. The idea that win = +25 and no other criteria is just ridiculous. We're in an age of unprecedented data. You can see if your last hitting a tonne and denying a tonne, if youre winnig the lane game after game, making rotations timely, making good decisions. It's in the best interest of the game to catapult people to the correct rank.. I know of people that I think play horrendously... they are around Crusader Archon rank.. and they make really bad decisions ( no hate)... then they make new accounts and callibrate to divine rank... Anyway, the answer is clear. Sociopaths in high positions at valve who do not have emotional abilities oversee these mechanisms. To them they can't see the problem. I mean there are countless accounts of lay people who can pull up this data.. chatgpt pulls it up instantly.. but valve can't.. come on..

It's not fun when you're made fully aware of how the team arrangement system works under the hood. You'd have to be insane to think carrying the game by yourself with no help against 5 people working together is fun. Like one guy said, it's extremely mentally taxing, for no real reward. You don't get paid, you can't put it on your resume, and nobody cares once the game is over. Could I break my fingers after a few wins and I get bots for teammates? With a shadow fiend buying an abyssal blade, lion mids, etc? All the worst possible conditions a person could muster up? I could, but I don't want to anymore. I'd rather play something that's enjoyable and not a chore.

Yeah exactly.. But it's good for me.. I do exercise.. Clean the house.. Walk my dog etc.. Then I play a dota game. Forced into carrying crybabies who've had their minds destroyed by this game and I have to mute them cause they all flaming the hell out eachother... at that point I'm like.. this isn't fun.. That said, playing with friends in turbo is still fun.

to say that the system is rigged is just so funny... any real archon will win any real guardian, any real ancient will win any real archon and I would beat the hell out of any real ancient... rank is not completely accurate but it is a representation of your skill, you ppl just have to accept you are worse than avarage

@exit code 0 If you are stuck at a mmr for long time, just accept the reality that you are garbage at this game. If you want to climb, learn to play or accept your skill cap and enjoy games at your bracket.

Top Tip: You are not a high mmr player stuck at low mmr due to bad matchmaking.

I climbed from crusader to divine with just pos 4 and 5 spam, so stop with the bullshit "rigged matchmaking" excuse.

If you're stuck at an MMR, it means you belong there, end of story. Yes, you sometimes get dogshit teammates who decided they want to play shit like pos4 razor or play against a smurf, but it's the same for everybody else. That happens to everybody. The only differentiation is skill. If you don't believe that, you can literally conduct a scientific experiment. Buy an account that's calibrated 1k MMR higher and see what happens to your winrate and how well you perform with your KDA. For better accuracy, get an account 1k LOWER than yours and see what happens to your winrate and KDA. You'll realize very quickly that it's not rigged.

Also your interpretation of the graphs you posted implies poor analytical skills or you're just being lazy/trolling. Another thing people like you don't seem to realize is that people who continuously play Dota 2 get better at the game, and Dota 2 has a pretty loyal playerbase (to put it more cynically, no new players) so you're competing with a playerbase with an ever increasing amount of average playtime. In simpler terms, you need to play better today to get to Legend than you had to 5 years ago. It can look like you're stuck, but it's just your MMR that's stuck.

Do you want to get higher MMR? You're going to have to do everything you can because that's what other people who get stuck at an MMR and want to gain it do. Spam broken heroes. Practice heroes you want to play. Counterpick. Try to find if your controls and settings can be optimized. Program an electroshocker to fry your balls each time you're supposed to stack. Take speed.

You can get to a higher MMR, but do you know what the problem becomes at that point? You will have to keep overperforming if you want to stay at it unless you can get mechanically better at the game faster than everybody else does. MMR is not worth obsessing. Games don't get more enjoyable if you go higher, unless you really enjoy sweating it, but it sounds like you don't.

You might think your MMR means you are good Dota player, sorry that is wrong. I was winning 12 games in a row until 3000 MMR (you can check my game history) then something unfathomable happened. My team by miracle turned into jungle bots, then I lost 12 games in a row.
Once you get to Immortal (if you can) you will see what a dog shit game looks like.
If you are booster then be my guest, keep ruining Dota all you want nobody cares about your 2$ per hours job sir. Player count is already low as f**k.
